Sweet Bliss Wax Melt Co.  is happy to announce that we are now offering candle/wax melt classes and workshops!!  We have worked very very hard to get where we are and are so excited to start this new chapter for our small business.

Below is some of the information about the classes, please contact me at sweetblisswaxmeltco.com or contact button on top of the menu bar for all the information about the classes.  Classes start at $30pp and the best part is I come to you.  I can host the class wherever you can accommodate your group.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE CLASS

All supplies needed to create your own candle / wax melts will be included in the cost of your class / workshop / party.

The prices of each participant will be based on the vessel of choosing.  I will have a variety of vessels that guests can choose from either prior to the event or the host may choose the same vessel for each participant.  The cost is between $30 per participant to $45 per participant.  I will provide a menu of optional vessels upon booking.

The supplies that each participant will receive are:

  • Vessel
  • Fragrance
  • Soy Wax
  • Wick
  • Wick stickers
  • Wick application tool
  • Wick centering tool
  • Stirring tool
  • Mixing cup
  • Fragrance oil cup
  • Candle warning label
  • Gloves
  • Disposable Apron
  • 2 alcohol wipes to clean vessel before and after
  • Option for colorants for your wax
  • Tray
  • Instructional brochure
  • Candle care card
  • Box
  • Bag

I will also bring a variety of wax embeds (wax melts in various shapes and colors that will be unscented) that can be used as decor on the top of the candle if desired, if you have a specific suggestion for shape or design of the embeds, please provide that information upon booking or at least 4 days prior to the event to make sure I can accommodate that request.

A selection of fragrances will be available to choose from before the event, if your event is specifically tailored to a certain theme for example, spa or relaxation, I will bring a selection of fragrances to match that theme.  I have a variety to choose from ranging from cereal/food, desserts, cocktails, relaxation and uplifting, seasonal as well as several more.  A menu will be available for the host to choose what they would like to be offered for their class. (All fragrances are first come first serve I do not always have a full bottle of fragrance left as I teach several classes) if there is a specific fragrance you would like ordered please let me know upon booking and I will do my best to accommodate.

The actual candle making experience before  the cooling of our candles is between 30-40 minutes.  This will consist of an introduction, learning about the tools needed for candle making, going through some key words that I will be using during the class, after that we will begin the process of measuring our wax and fragrance and incorporating them into our mixture cups, adding our optional colorants, and pouring into our vessel.  During the drying time I will clean the space up of materials we don’t need anymore, that is when I invite the participants to enjoy their food and beverages.  I also provide a fun activity for the group tailored to which type of event we are doing.  The winner will get a gift card to my website.  I have a variety of labels for the participants to design and custom make the label for their vessel. (Depending on the environment, the candles can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour or so to cool, the cooler the environment the faster the drying time is.) If your environment is particularly warmer especially in the summer months, I can provide a small desktop fan for each attendee, please let me know at booking if this is needed.

After the candles are cooled, we will use the heat gun to smooth out the tops of the candles, this will allow any air bubbles, sink holes or craters from forming to allow for a flawless burn.  Once they are cooled enough, again we will place our embeds on the candle and wait a few minutes for the candle to dry again.  Once completely cooled, we will clean off our vessel with the alcohol wipes and apply our labels.  Your candle may feel slightly warm for a few hours as the candle is curing and cooling completely to a hardened wax.

I advise all participants to allow their candles to cure for at least 2 weeks prior to burning their candles.  This allows for the candle to have the highest level of fragrance and molecules to bond, and help your candle burn longer as your wax is completely hardened. However, they may still leave their candles open while curing and you will still be able to smell the fragrance.

Each class from start to finish will run anywhere between 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours, the cooling time is the longest part of the class but I will keep everyone engaged during this time.  Classes can run any day or time of the week, as long as it is booked with 7 days notice, there is a minimum of 6 participants, if only 5 or less attend, it is still required that the minimum of 6 be paid for, however I will still provide the host with a $15 credit to my website as a gesture of kindness.  If you need to add participants please let me know asap to allow for me to prepare another station, you have up until the day before to do so.  A maximum of 12 participants is what we can currently accommodate at a time, if there are more then that please book 2 weeks in advance so we may have 2 instructors for your event.  I (Alexandra Roman, owner and operator of Sweet Bliss Wax Melt Co will be the instructor for all classes).

Since our classes/workshops are a mobile event and I come to you, I do require that the host or someone be available 1 hour prior to the class to allow for me to setup and prepare for the event.  Everything will be setup by myself, I just need to have access to the venue.  Once the event is over I will clean up the supplies and workspace.  I provide disposable table coverings, and each guest will have  a tray and parchment paper to protect your surfaces, this is to help prevent damage in the event if any of the  oils if spilled or get on porus surfaces, in the event  of any damages, I am not liable for any damages caused.

I also invite all hosts/attendees to bring food and beverages, we want this to be a fun and engaging event. It is not just a class we want it to be an experience.  (Please note, you must be 21+ to consume alcohol) I also do not provide the food or beverages for the event, if you would like me to provide cookies/snacks and beverages I can do so for an additional charge.

If you would like to book your class, I do require a $100 deposit, this can be in the form of credit card/venmo/zelle or cash, upon signing the contract. If you need to cancel the class please refer to the contract for refund policy.  Deposit will be returned after payment is made at event for all participants attending.
