Our Story

Handcrafted with love, poured with passion.

Thank you for visiting my store — please allow me to introduce myself! My name is Alex, and I live in northern NJ. Prior to 2020, I had a career of 15+ years in retail banking. I loved being in banking, but I've always had a creative side that loved crafts and being very DIY. I even planned my entire wedding myself, down to every last detail. After I had my daughter in 2020, my bank closed our location and I was laid off. I was very fortunate to have that time to raise my daughter, supported by my husband, who makes it possible for me to be a stay-at-home mom and dog mom. 💗

After years of searching for something to keep me busy during nap times and give me a little sanity after bedtime, I finally found my passion — making candles and wax melts. When I started, I thought it was simple. I colored my wax with crayons and fragrance oils, completely unaware of the science behind it all. I dove into research and spent hours, days, weeks, and even months studying the craft of being a chandler. I discovered techniques I never imagined were possible — who knew you could whip and pipe wax? I became fascinated by the science: different types of wax, precise measuring, ratios, temperatures, colorants, fragrances, and wick selection. There is so much more to it than simply pouring wax into a jar or mold.

So here I am today, with an inventory full of products I've poured my heart into. In every candle and every wax melt, you can see the passion and love I put into my work. My website is always a work in progress, and I want it to truly reflect my vision and who I am. Outside of my family, this business is my greatest passion.

Did you know that candles from big box stores are produced in mass quantities using inexpensive wax like paraffin and low-quality fragrance oils? They may smell strong and carry a low price tag, but consider the toxins that go into those ingredients. When you shop small, you know the products are made in small batches — hand poured, tested repeatedly until perfected, and crafted with quality ingredients. I use only top-quality natural soy wax made in the USA and premium phthalate free fragrance oils from trusted suppliers. I never cut corners, and I only sell products I would use in my own home. I also make it a priority to educate my customers on safe candle and wax melt usage and proper care. The love that goes into every product I make, package, and ship is something you can truly feel. That's the difference between small-batch and mass production.

I love telling my story and connecting with new people. Sweet Bliss Wax Melt Co. is a small business today, but one day I hope it becomes a household name — without ever compromising the quality I take so much pride in. I appreciate every single purchase, big or small. I package every order as if it's a gift, paying close attention to every detail. With every order, I include free samples and random surprise gifts as a token of my appreciation. I strive for customer satisfaction, and I hope you love every item you receive. If you ever have an issue with your order or a product, please don't hesitate to reach out — I will always respond promptly with a solution.

Running a small business is always a risk. I've invested a great deal in wax, molds, fragrance oils, and equipment, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. My dream is to one day have a storefront where I can teach candle-making classes and host a "make your own candle" bar. To everyone who has visited my website, followed along, liked my photos, shared my posts, or referred a friend — thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so humbled and grateful for the word-of-mouth support, my repeat customers, and the opportunity to participate in events like markets and craft shows. It truly means the world to my family and me. I'm a growing business, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

When you shop small, you are supporting someone's dream. You're not helping pay for a CEO's third vacation home — you are helping pay for a little girl's dance classes, a family vacation full of memories, and groceries on the table.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. 💗
